Drifts. Misplacements in the city of paradise
“Derivas” is a publication that brings together the works of 115 writers, poets, visual and sound artists, invited to explore the city of Málaga from new perspectives, capturing their discoveries through texts, images and other artistic manifestations.
At the heart of “Derivas” beats the spirit of the Situationist movement, focusing in particular on the concept of drifting. This approach is palpably reflected in all aspects of the publication, from the choice of colours to the visual composition, incorporating resources such as random rhythms in the text boxes, or connectors that link the various itineraries traced by the artists along the streets of Malaga, grouped graphically, through the covers, by zones and themes.
In this way, “Derivas” manages to convey the very essence of Situationist drifting, inviting readers and viewers to embark on a unique journey through the city.
