National Heritage
The way in which the Spanish National Heritage, an important institution for Spain, presents itself to its citizens and foreign visitors is crucial to the present day identity of the country as a “brand”.
As briefed by the board, Tau Diseño created a new brand and developed the identity programme for the institution; respecting tradition whilst simultaneously pursuing a new communications plan more in tune with present times.
The work culminated in the re-drawing of the crown –respecting the heraldic norms while facilitating its reproduction by simplifying lines and shading–, the creation of a new “Heritage” typeface specifically for the logo, and corresponding graphic systems to implement in publications, signage of historic buildings and communication events.
