Catalogue and exhibition design for the VIII Biennial of Contemporary Art of the ONCE Foundation.

The Biennial’s graphic design, always with a forceful breath, is based this time on a colourful, geometric motif of open abstraction to represent the selection of works that make up the exhibition.

The dynamism of the circle is reinforced by the kinetic play of the catalogue cover: die-cutting, movement, light and shadow, colour in transition, visual and tactile interaction.

The strong colour contrast and comfortable readability are characteristic of this call for entries.

In them, accessibility is imperative. A special case is the one made for Laura Anderson’s piece. The work itself, which presents Pastrana’s biography and hard career, is a video and a paper banner, typical of Mexican folklore, worked in a die-cut material that the visitor can touch and walk through.
